'S.M.I .L.E - A trip into Synesthesia' by Omsk Social Club at Volksbühne Berlin

“Since 2025 the globe has seen an increased interest from young people who have been mentally affected by modern electronic media begin to experiment with S.M.IL.E ceremonies. The reason being that their nervous systems have evolved from the electronic media so much so that they no longer enjoy linear drugs like alcohol but instead are interested in non-linear experimentation with chemical highs, trancing and journeying. Their aims are diverse but it is common to find them searching for states of increased intelligence, social intimacy, space migration and life extension. The model that they use is known typically as S.M.IL.E by its users.

In short, S.M.I
L.E is a five-hour cycle ceremony which aims to blend all seven senses into clarity. It is often said by users that in the last 135 minutes, “18 barriers are crossed (i.e, barriers comparable to the appearance of life, the invention of language or the achievement of immortality) 13 of them are crossed in the last 10 seconds” These 18 extensions of consciousness and power are comparable to the passing of sea to land or from earth to space or at least that's what most seasoned users boast.

It is not exclusive but each individual needs proof of stake before they can enter the ceremony to ensure bodying satisfaction for all involved - though they do welcome beginners warmly. Belief Unlimited will host an S.M.I
L.E session in Berlin exploring human fluidity in the age of technological precision.”
