Herding Cats:
An idiom denoting a futile attempt to control or organize a class of entities which are inherently uncontrollable – as in the difficulty of attempting to command a large number of cats into a group (herd).

Again: Another time; once more.

Catbox Contemporary is proud to present, Herding Cats, Again, a group exhibition of artists, John Bohl, Karin Campbell, Tanya Merrill, Emily Mae Smith, and Brandi Twilley. The title serves as a sequel to last year’s group show (Herding Cats, June, 2017). Each of the five artists explore the functionality of image and materiality to create varying degrees of representation and figuration. The (now) highly saturated tiger-striped walls of the gallery emphasize the absurd dialogue generated by cramming a bunch of artists into a tiny space.
