Affects slip, language withdraws from the speaker, like the body from the scared. Kissing a Tailassembles different kinds of betrayal in the rhetoric figure of the snitch. The six chapters depict the autofictional narrators search for the snitch, which takes place in a variety of different media, such as 3D animations, shadow play, point of view camera recordings, a spell, interviews and casual chats with friends and experts.

A main question accompanying the search is, whether it is possible to reinterpret betrayal to make it accessible for feminist approaches. You could think about men betray their impressed gender and solidarize with the marginalized other. Or nature withdrawing from rational, exclusively cognitive, anthropocentric perceptions of acting, humans have. There is a re-reading of nature as discontinuously, performative, having agency, being unreadable sometimes.

While the witch rose to a prominent representation of the marginalized female in feminist literature in the past decades, the snitch could be a counterpart: A figure trying to raise questions about how a person socialized manly could find exits out of the roles and imperatives patriarchy imposes on them.

The first chapter of Kissing a Tail was released on May 27, 2019 via www.kissingatail.show. There was a new episode every week successively until July 1. The work was also displayed in a group exhibition called Oozing Ecologies From an Upcoming Past, which took place in June 2019 inBSMNT gallery, Leipzig, Germany.
