Symbols will always be. Alive.
Whether they be tied to a lived or dreamt time, they guide us in the disorder of our making. We are but passers-by, transmitters, appropriating worlds and the details that will, momentarily, replace their perfume.
Let’s together affix our symbols, thus anchoring ourselves in History; let’s impose our future thanks to what preceded us.
Every present artwork is an anchor point, opening doors to a reality.
Every present artist is the teller of his own vision.
“Passants” is an exhibit offered by Aubes, attempting to question the links between symbols and History, between testimonies and fiction.
