'Зamok', Off-Site Group Project at dentistry Dr. Blumkin, Moscow

*“Зamok” can be translated as both “castle” or “lock”, suggesting the narrative and explorative nature of the project.

The title of the exhibition is inspired by Franz Kafka's unfinished novel of the same name (German: Das Schloss), published posthumously in Munich. The exhibition explores an unorthodox way of integrating art into the commercial space of a dental clinic. Traveling through the premises of a clinic, there is a resemblance to a bureaucratic labyrinth. As the visitor exits, they stumble upon riddles, keys, and attractors. The exhibition is organized in such a way that almost every artist has a separate office at his disposal, creating a plastic dialogue with technical equipment and an environment atypical for exhibiting art.
