The performative installation by Dorota Gaweda and Eglė Kulbokaitė investigates the act of reading as an intimate experience, holding the potentiality to become public performance through the «outlouding» of words. Their stage made of tiles, curtains, carpet, suspended light boxes and clay powder, breaks the boundary in between the intimate and the public and become the site for readings of Young Girl Reading Group’s manifesto and Paul Preciado’s third part of their Gender, Sexuality, and the Biopolitics of Architecture: From the Secret Museum to Playboy. While reading, the four performers are also documenting their actions via Instagram, disseminating the performance further. Performing the texts, taking uncomfortable positions to read, or writing down some of the words in the space and on their clothes, they complexify the perception of the readers and the text read.
