Splash Effect is a project initially conceived by two artists, Julien Saudubray and Anastasia Bay, also the founders of the artist run space ClovisXV. Opened three years ago, they have since begun to involve other artists, not by exhibiting them but by thinking about the installations realised by ClovisXV in which their works integrate and then activate these scenography's. Thus the mixture of mediums becomes the unity of an idea in a space, where the disciplines are decolonized. The sculptures become pedestals, and the meaning appears by their joint arrangements.
Born out of the desire to show emerging artists, Clovis XV became a duo of artist-curators who organise exhibitions with multiple hands. For this installation at The Others Art Fair they invite Ben Husson and Dominic Wood. The denomination is no longer specific, and the project extends in an undifferentiated way, sometimes as a curatorial project sometimes as a plastic installation or as a theoretical proposition. Invited by SUPERDEALS to participate in The Others, the project Splash Effect mixes installation and meditative paintings.
