Marx once said, “They do not know it, but they are doing it”! A few deca- des later Sloterdijk paraphrased him with the rather contrary statement: “They know very well what they’re doing, and still they do it”! Morton co- mments on this saying, “Absolute boundaries exist in science and human knowledge and therefore there also exist boundaries to human domination over the world, either we make use of the potential of science and change our relationship to other material and immaterial entities that inhabit this world with us or we will continue exploiting them and endanger the very existence of humanity on Earth” (LN, 2017). Morton is a rare optimist with few taking this stance in media. The future is no longer what was, After the Future, Join the Future, UFU – Used Future Universal, the future will not be, or perhaps we are simply living in a dystopia and it’s necessary to accept this and learn to live with it?
