The cultural department Salzburg-Stadt is thrilled to show new paintings and sculptures by the artist Peter Fritzenwallner. After years of performing amid the visitors of exhibition openings using language, props, little sculptures and objects, the artist returns to his forlorn teenage hobbyism: Painted figurines fabricated of coated steel and oil-painted torsos, figures who are seemingly wandering and acting within the space, observing and pointing at each other. Their physical presence confronts the viewer almost brutally and candy colored.
