STONE BELLY DWELLER WORLDLY BEETLE LENS BOLDLY TREES WELL EN OLD WEBS TRY EL E L E LN BY DEW LNRETOLLELSE
On a hike in July we saw a wolf spider on the sign for the nature center, and she announced that it wasn’t real. An uncanny double the size of my palm. Perfectly positioned between the E and the C, as if someone had placed it there intentionally. Maybe this really was an imposter? Standing still, we tried to out- motionless the spider. Fake! She cried out, and the spider jumped and scurried off. A million fragments in the forest and one just pretending.
Wild Flower presents Stone Belly Dweller by Sophia Belkin. A glimpse into the control center beneath the forest floor. A cocoon caught mid-whirl. The keys to the conference room. Digesting and regenerating. A Bloom between a season.
